FOOD PANTRY

grocery store shopping experience for Coraopolis Area residents

The Coraopolis Food Pantry is one of the benchmark programs run by the CCDC.  We strive to create a grocery store atmosphere of wholesome family staple foods. This is augmented by our own Community Garden, which supplies fresh organic produce to the pantry.

Weekend Snack Pack Program

The Snack Pack program is an extension of the food pantry that was developed in partnership with Cornell School District, which has a 72% poverty rate among its families. In community eligible school districts, students are eligible to receive subsidized breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the school week. The Snack Pack program is an aspect of the food pantry’s work that provides an additional way to reach children and families in need of food assistance, especially during out of school time on the weekends and during the summer months.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We are so grateful for all food contributions; however if you want stretch your donation money as far as possible, it's important to keep in mind that monetary contributions have 5:1 buying power over food donations. Please also note that, unfortunately, we are unable to accept pre-prepared foods.
